One week later

Looking good! Just have to keep putting the vitamin E on it.

Correction: That's "vitamany."

This is what our house looks like

Since we stayed home from school (and work) today, I took Eli over to our house this morning to meet the floor guys. I showed him how the house was empty except for all of the furniture stacked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Tonight, we looked over and he had arranged the dollhouse at GJ & GT's the same way. He never said a word about it.

There are better ways to start a Sunday...

Than the way I did this week. We are staying at Gran Jan and Gran Tum's this week while the men come to work on our floors. They are going to make the floors handsome in my room and pretty everywhere else. I woke everyone up after I fell out of bed (or tried to get up, not sure which) and busted my lip on the dresser (or maybe the bed). It really hurt. We all went rushing to the emergency room at 6:00 in the morning.

They called in the good doctor to help fix me. Daddy says I was a lot tougher and braver than he was when he got stitches in his lip, even though he was bigger and older.

It's really sore, but I'm going to be ok. The nurse did give me a really cool Hot Wheels car.

S'mores!

Last week we made s'mores for dessert after Sunday night dinner. We both got to hold a stick.

They were yummy!

Elly's birthday

Here are some pictures from Elly's 2nd birthday parties.

This week at our house...

Quotes of the week

Elly: I have stink in my diapy!

Eli: Sam (our six year old neighbor) must not brush his teeth very well.
Mommy: What do you mean buddy?
Eli: Because he already lost two teeth!
(This was several days after Eli was threatened that his teeth would fall out if he didn't brush.)

Trauma of the week

On the way to school Friday, Elly got into Eli's lunchbox. She had eaten almost all of his peanut butter and jelly and half of his cheese slices before Daddy could pull over and get it. We traded out the contents of the lunchboxes, but Daddy had to explain to Miss Larissa why it looked like Elly was sent with only carrots for lunch.

Suggested names for the new baby

Eli: Gill, Doc
Elly: Kristen (Mick's friend and Elly's most recent babysitter)

Picking grapes

Friday we went to Paul and Claudia's farm to help pick grapes. They say they're going to use them to make grape juice for grownups.

Welcome

Welcome to our new site. This site is for us and for all of our friends and family, since Mommy and Daddy never seem to get around to writing things down in our baby books or sending pictures to people. It's called "E2 (for now)" because Mommy has a baby in her tummy. When the baby's born next spring we'll have to share the site with the baby.
